This quiet cottage sits nestled in the tall spruces on the shores of Bar Island in Milbridge, Maine. To get to this cottage visitors drive across the small bridge to the island where a number of picturesque cottages and year-round homes are located. This newly built contemporary rental features modern comfort in a quiet setting. Its shorefront allows kayakers to access some of the most interesting and diverse waters in eastern coastal Maine.




From its shores paddlers can explore the coastline around the Petit Manan Bird Sanctuary, the pink granite shorelines of McCellen Park, Bois Bubert Island and Pigeon Hill Bay Guests at this cottage enjoy walking the island roads or driving a short distance to Petit Mann to hike the wonderful trails on the Peninsula. Ellsworth is 45 minutes away and the Bangor International Airport is an hour and 30 minute drive. Machias is also 45 minutes away and Campobello Island is an hour and half drive. Portland is 4 hours away, Boston is 6 hours and New York City 10 hours away.

The cottage features two bedrooms, an entertainment room, living room, dining area, kitchen, 1½ baths and water view porch. The cottage also comes with washer, dryer, dishwasher, cook ware, gas grill, TV, VCR, phone and linens.




Activities in the Area

The cottage is also only 15 minutes from Milbridge center with its quaint shops, movie theater and restaurants. Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island are also only a 50 minute drive. Guests here are also just short drives away from Acadia's Schoodic Peninsula, hiking at Schoodic, Black and Caribou Mountains, and swimming at Long Pond, Tunk and Spring River Lakes.


Current Rates


$800 per week in May, beginning of June, September and October.
$1,000 per week in later June, July and August.
