A wildlife refuge on one side and saltwater marsh on the other ensures total privacy. This home is ideal for two families or one extended family--as the bedrooms are at opposite ends of the house: a master bedroom suite with bathroom and walk-in closet on one end, and two bedrooms with bathroom (and Whirlpool tub) on the other (ideal for keeping the kids at a respectable distance). Full kitchen with all appliances. Dining room, den, laundry room. Sixty-foot deck facing ocean (plus large screen porch). Kayaking, fishing, bird watching and clamming right at your back door. Or explore Down East and nearby Acadia.

This home is located at the top of the Schoodic Peninsula, just a few minutes drive to the Schoodic section of Acadia National Park and Winter Harbor, and about 40 minutes to Bar Harbor. This is Down East Maine the way it should be--total privacy and quiet, yet just a short distance from the tourist activities of Bar Harbor. Kayak on the quiet bay, or paddle out into the Gulf of Maine. Harvest clams at low tide. Watch the sun set across the bay.

$1200 per week -- April, May, first 3 weeks of June
$1400 per week -- last week of June, all of July, August, through Sept. 5th
$1200 per week -- September 5th through October
A deposit of half the weekly rate required for reservation.
