From the ship's wheel chandelier fastened to the peeled pine log beams...to the genuine anchor by the front door, you'll find real Maine atmosphere at our cozy Meadow Beach Cottage. Previous summer tenants have written in the guest book that they've especially enjoyed the views of the meadow and glimpses of Penobscot Bay where the ferry glides across to an island daily on the hour. The cottage (for one or two persons) features rustic charm with a studio-living room and at one end a pint-sized kitchen with full-sized electric stove. The eating table is located in front of one of the "view" windows. Living room features sofa, chairs, tables, Cable TV, and local service phone. Bedroom is compact, with (choose) a double bed or twins, and dresser. Small bathroom includes shower (no tub)and shuttered window. Cottage has two screened doors, lazy overhead fan, Monitor gas heater for easy warmth on any chilly evenings. Deck overlooks meadow with wildflowers, and distant bay view.
