View from the lower deck.

The upper deck, as mentioned before, has two rocking chairs and a great view of the lake. The lower deck has the grill, two full size picnic tables, the access door to the washer/dryer, and of course, the great view! Plenty of parking in the back as you enter too. Lots of trees provide plenty of shade, even on part of the deck. There are several marinas within a short boat ride. Sequoyah is the closest, its a 10 minute ride. Norris Dam Marina and Sugar Hollow are about 20 and 25 minutes away, Deerfield about 30. Sharp’s Grocery and Demory Mart are 15 and 20 minutes by car and can offer most of the basic needs. Sharp’s is a quaint little country/hardware store and has a little of everything. Demory Mart is your basic small convenience store. Neither sells beer so you’ll have to make the trek to “Fat Bear’s Tavern” (an adventure in itself) or to Wal-Mart if you’ve underestimated your needs. Driving time from Cincinnati is 4 hours, Dayton is 5, Detroit about 8. Our part of the lake is not as busy as some other areas (translated: you’re not as likely to be run over by crazed jet-ski riders). If the maddening crowd is what you’re after, it’s just a 15 minute boat ride away. We’re great for water-skiing, swimming, tubing, kneeboarding, personal watercraft, fishing, most anything you like to do on the lake. Rates for Summer 2005 are $1200/wk or $165/nt. Sat-Sat rentals only June-August. $200 fully refundable damage deposit required. Shorter stays may be approved subject to availability. Sorry, no pets and no smoking in the house. My dogs don’t even get to go inside.
