Table games, a wide variety of reading materials, 2 cable TVs, VCR, CD player provided for convenience and entertainment, can be welcome treasures after a full day on the beach, in the water, play and sightseeing. Activities in the Area
Stroll the
shore, boardwalk or bayside; watch the sun rise and
sunset. Fire rings for cookouts on both beach and bay,
plus Sea World Fireworks.
A short 5 minute walk takes you to the local market,
liquor store, eateries, postal center, and two visitor
friendly pubs.
2 minutes further North to a unisex hair salon, kayak and
sailboard rentals. Another 2 minutes and you are at the
Amusement Center with indoor pool and fitness center,
historic Roller Coaster and lots of beach tog shops, plus
blades, boards,& bike rentals.
Over the bridge to ocean Sportsfishing, para-gliding and
Sea World. South to Ocean Beach, East to the Sports
Arena, Old Town Park and the Tijuana Trolley.
The Zoo, Balboa Park, Old Globe Theatre and the Airport
are about a 20 minute drive.
Walk or ride North to Pacific Beach, a full community
with restaurants, nightlife, drug and grocery stores.
Drive to La Jolla for upscale dinning, shopping, museums,
UCSD, Institutes, Torrey Pines Golf, and Hang Gliding.
Of course, Del Mar Thoroughbred Race Track; The World Champion Over-The Line
Tournament; Carlsbad 5000, Rock n Roll and America's Finest 1/2 Marathon; and the Padres
are all available, too.
SUPERBOWL: We are located between the Stadium, downtown activities in the Convention Center, Hotels, and The Gaslamp Quarter. (15 driving minutes) or drive to the trolley (8 minutes) and it takes you to all without the traffic. SUPERBOWL: The Bud Bowl (pre-game events) is within walking distance at Mariner's Point.
