Acara house is a family run Period bed and breakfast, with a very warm welcome for everyone and we will endeavour to make you stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.This period red brick home has many original features such as high ceilings, marble fireplace and polished floorboards combined with all the modern comforts to ensure you have a memorable stay in Dublin. We are within less than one mile to the city centre and a short stroll to the world-famous Botanic Gardens and Croke Park, less than a mile to the Phoenix Park and Dublin Zoo. We are just a ten minute taxi ride from Dublin Airport and the Dublin North Ferry Terminal, with a choice of fine pubs and restaurants close by. For theatres, shopping and nightlife Dublin City Centre and Temple Bar are only 10 minutes by bus.





Acara House as with all Bed and breakfast accommodation is limited by the number of rooms we have available. If we are full In order to avoid disappointment we will locate similar bed and breakfast accommodation close to city centre. We will provide you with details of these before you confirm your reservation. If we are full and you decide not to choose any of the alternative bed and breakfast locations nothing will be deducted from your credit card. A 10 % booking deposit is required on accepting booking. Kingsize/Double or twin beds. All Ensuite. Colour Television with video and Remote Control. Tea and Coffee making facilities. Hairdryer and Alarm Clock, Iron and Ironboard on request. Single Room with Ensuite Also Available. The elegant dining area is located at the front of the premises and has retained its victorian splendour. All of the above tariffs include a full Irish breakfast which consists of bacon, fried egg, sausages, white pudding, tomato and hash brown. Alternative breakfasts are also available and we are more than happy to cater for Vegetarians & Vegans (prior notice is required and would be appreciated).




Activities in the Area

Drumcondra the location of Acara House is steeped in local history and contains many places of interest. Drumcondra is named from the gaelic Drumcondraighe, or the Ridge of the Condraighe, who were a tribe from the 2nd century. Croke Park named in honour of the association's first patron, Archbishop Croke of Cashel is about 30 minutes walk from Acara House is the stadium that hosts the GAA all Ireland sporting fixtures.It is one of the largest facilities in Europe and in addition houses an interesting museum dedicated to Gaelic sport. The stadium has a capacity for 75,000
