The Franconia Inn is an elegant Country Inn, located in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, affording spectacular views of the White Mountains. We serve breakfast and dinner daily, and offer picnic lunches in the summer. In the summer we have horseback riding, tennis, mountain bikes and trails, outdoor pool and Jaccuzzi, soaring, croquet, and fishing. In the winter we have cross country skiing, with a full service ski shop, ice skating, sleigh rides, snow shoeing, and an outdoor Jaccuzzi.

Comfortable Bedrooms

The decor is comfortable and inviting. In the oak paneled private library and spacious living room are active, handsome fireplaces; two dining rooms: the first, small and intimate, with its own fireplace; the other, having a Bermuda ceiling, is airy and boisterous. Each offers views of the mountains. The Inn also boasts two porches: the front porch faces east - sunrises over Cannon Mountain. The back porch faces west - the sun sets behind Sugar Hill. The Inn's dining room is the evening centerpiece, where unpretentious elegance is the rule, not the exception. Diners seated at table with flickering candles view the White Mountain landscape through dozens of small-paned windows, soft tones of Mozart and Bach set the pace for a leisurely dinner of "Elegant American Cuisine." Downstairs is the Rathskeller Lounge, movie room, and game room.
