Piha is known for it's ecological beauty, not its night life! However, if you can drag yourself away from the house, you will find an excellent meal a short walk along the beach at the Surf Club, open Thursday to Sunday. Or a good square meal in the homely atmosphere of the "Rasa" (as the local Returned Servicemen's Association is known) just up the road, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The kitchen is open till 8.30. The TV is often on for sports fans, or you can play pool. Be sure to observe the minute's silence every night with respect. Or further afield, there are excellent wineries and restaurants heading towards Auckland, open most nights, and in Auckland itself some of the best dining in the world . Visit our website below for photos and information about New Zealand, Auckland and Piha.
